Installation

Each Cotswold Threshold is supplied with pre-drilled metal fixing brackets and screws. To ensure a flush finish, rebates have been cut into the underside of each threshold to accommodate the brackets.

The thresholds can then be fixed to the floor by either nailing through the fixing brackets, or using screws and plugs.

The brackets are made from thin metal plate so, when fixed, the floor covering can be fitted over the top to conceal their presence.

As an alternative to using the brackets, Cotswold Thresholds can be simply fixed to the floor using a strong adhesive such as 'liquid nails'.

Installation Tip - Placing the threshold
For best results, thresholds should not be visible when the door is closed, so make sure they are placed under the 'closed door' before fixing.
Installation Tip - Cutting to length
Each threshold is supplied pre-cut in either 1m or 2m lengths. Should you need to alter the length, equal amounts should be cut from both ends to ensure the fixing brackets remain central to the door.
